Running over internet photos of elan sprints and the color combos ...I saw several pictures of a sprint with a color similar to British racing green above the white/gold stripe. Was this ever a factory combo?

Check out Tim?s site: lotuselansprint.com which has a paint section and should answer your question.

The only BRG/white "Sprint" I have seen was an S4 made to look like a Sprint by New England Classic Cars here in the States. I have not seen a Real Sprint with BRG & it was not shown on the factory colour charts...

Thank you for the info, I would say the actual color chart from lotuselansprint.com is the one to go by. If you google elan sprint under images there are a few BRG sprints shown or just shots of the same car in different situations. On the face of it I would have guessed of course BRG was a choice but it appears not. Thanks again

If you're talking about this image:

It is Marc Evans of NECC driving his bitsa Elan made to look like a Sprint, the car was actually put together by Gary Anderson (aka Pissant)

BRG was an earlier paint choice, but had been dropped by the time Sprint production began.

Although not an official colour Lotus would paint an ?lan any colour the client wanted. I am unaware of any that left Hethel in BRG.
