Is there a source for the S1 floor covering material?
My floor material has broken up, and I would like to replace it.
The material was available readily at one time for truck or floor covering in less expensive cars.
If you know of a source please let me know.

JAE in Goleta CA right in your home state has a full kit for the S1 and early S2 cars, I did mine years ago and even took some over to a mate in the UK for a restoration he was doing. Boy was that a heavy piece of luggage.

Thank you for your reply, but JAE doesn't seem to have much these days; at least their on line presents isn't much help.

Boy, I?m surprised anyone would be able to recreate this material. At one time it was very common, as it was used as trunk (or boot, if you prefer) lining, and for floor covering for low end or economy models of cars. You could buy it in rolls at parts stores, but it went away as cars got more expensive.
I bought a roll many years ago, and it came 4 feet wide and cut to length. In order to make it you would need something like an embossed calendar roll, 4 feet long and probably 2 to 3 feet in diameter, which would be very expensive to reproduce?unless, that is, you found the original rolls. Even then the machine that processed the sheet would fill a warehouse. I worked years ago for a company that made a heat shrink material which was used to wrap the Alaskan pipe line, and the machine was over 100 feet long. Not unusual for a calendaring machine.
As an engineer; if this fellow is making the material, I?d be very interested in seeing photos of his operation

I doubt Frank makes it himself I agree but probably has commissioned it. I sent him a PM hopefully he?ll be along soon enough.

I would suggest checking with the folks that support us first.
