I'm missing the snaps on both sides.

I've got replacements in hand, but now, how do I attach them? Ideas?

inside pillar should have black vinyl material held in by both contact cement AND the door seal (pull away) to expose back side access to nut on the snap fastener stud...? I believe ?

It rather depends what you are trying to fix.
At this point you probably have a press stud for the end flap for which a stainless self tapping screw should do as the glass fibre is pretty thick.
However your hole looks quite large and you may need a nut behind or you fill the hole and start again.
Maybe you have a tenax fastener which normally needs a nut fastening.
You should have a nylon slide on 'cotton reel' on the upper rail to take the hood stick over the door rather than the press stud in the photo.

There's a combined view of both pieces in this thread.

Thank you, MarkDa.

I've got a couple of bobbins on order from RDE. No idea why the PO put those snaps there, I guess he never used the top. I hadn't either, I've been focused on getting the drive train sorted out, and now that that's done it's on to environmental protection - getting the top usable and fixing the driver's side door window.

For the snaps on the outer windscreen rail, I'll be going with filling the holes with epoxied toothpick, redialing, and #4 stainless screws.

Thanks all,
Steve

just to clarify.....
that white plastic piece goes on TOP end where the stainless top piece is....this to connect the top irons.

the hole you have pictured is for a metal snap for the convertible top. the convertible top has snaps at each end along the top of windshield.

two separate items in two separate locations.
FYI only.
