Re-chroming company needed in SE.

I'm not sure agree about bulk jobs getting the way.
They just go in and out of the baths with minimal craftsman input.
Obviously they take up bath time but I expect the limiting factor is the capacity of those doing the stripping, filling and linishing.
This manual input accounts for the cost of restoration replacing work.
We've all heard about poor workmanship and want the best
Those who provide it are always busy in any line of work.

Hi,
Just my opinion, but it is a big mistake to just look locally - it is expensive so just look for the best.
Because of the environmental impact it will just get harder to get any chroming done in Europe.

I've been looking for a decent chormer recently but havn't actually used one yet but....

A relative of mine who is a professional polisher recommends Collonade in Wembley as the best around.

A professional restorer of Jags recommended Silvabronz in Alton, Hants. He said its where you take chroming for your own projects to...;

The only other one I've had good report of is the outfit in Yate near Bristol.

None of these are cheap, but if you want good chroming it costs, so don't go on price alone. I'll be putting a batch of bumpers in to one of these in the next month or so and will report back.

Yes, having had a long chat with Collonade I have decided they are the company I will use. I expect to be going there in the next week or two

Hi Nic,
I'm not far from you and I'm planning to have some chroming done next year so I ( and probably many others) am very interested in the results.

What are you having chromed?
