Can anybody advise where to obtain the metal crimp clips used to attach the spring zigzags in an Elan seat frame?

In the UK.

Thanks in anticipation,

They are called hog rings here in the US. I used to buy them from JC Whitney Co. I'm sure some of the vintage upholstery shops in UK should have them, if you knew what they are called. There are also spacial pliers for crimping them.

Woolies sell hog rings and pliers, they are not zigzag though.

Is this what you need?

Thanks for the reply.

No, its not hogrings (same name in UK) - although they are used on the seats, these are wider metal clips, used to actually hold the zigzag surpentine wires together in the seat and backrest webing structure.

I've a photo but having trouble uploading it at the mo!

I was unable to find the correct size in the UK, I think they must be very difficult find elsewhere as someone on this site had a batch made in stainless steel and offered his surplus here.
I?ve had a look but can?t find the post.

Quick note, the part no on box, these are wrong size for the job too large. They were the only ones I could find in the UK and had to use packing to allow them to grip, pita not recommended.

Thanks for the suggestions and great help Gents.

I searched Border Wire Clips and found just the thing.

J. A. Milton Upholstry Supplies have very close copies of the original - so I ordered from them.

Many Thanks,
Philip.
