Dear All
Once again sorry for poor english ...Just one question ...For a lot of "souvenirs"reasons I would like no... I will keep original crash pad and original ventilation grid on my almost rebuilt and renewed S1 but as it has lived on a outdoor field for 45 years the crashpad is now dry and almost as wood so question is :" is it possible to give a new flexibility at the vinyl???
Very best regards
Roger

I remember from years ago using a Ditzler paint for vinyl with preparation that involved using a special solvent that made the vinyl quite pliable, ready for the paint. But only temporarily pliable.

So while I cannot point to what you need, it does seem possible such a thing exists. As I have a similar old crash pad I hope someone here knows for sure...

Roger, I have a S2 crash pad in excellent condition for sale, if needed. Been on the shelf for 20+ years.

Original foam inside. If you need pictures, just send me an email.

Cheers. Mike, in Richmond, CA (near San Francisco).

I suggest covering the crash pad with new vinyl fabric.
This was a suggestion from a previous post ( viewtopic.php?f=36&t=28884 ) which I used as the inspiration to recover my 1967 S3 SE Crash pad.

It really turned out well.

There are several sources for the 'Whisper Vinyl' fabric.
Paul.
