Propshaft uj and grease nipple balance.

PostPost by: Brian Walton » Fri Jun 02, 2006 11:00 pm

Aware of the problem of propshaft inbalance I have a question. I have just put in two new uj units (front and back of propshaft). Both have provision for a long grease nipple. Should I place the long nipples in the UJ's or leave them out and replace with a plug due to the possiblility of inbalance. I have placed the nipples at opposite positions within their positions to gain the most balance.

Thanks for the suggestion John. For the moment I have just increased the thread up the nipple base and reduced its length. That should solve any balance problems.
