shifting problems

My Plus two (1968) is developing a rather pesky shifting problem. When I try to change gears somtime it simply does not want to go into gear. If I let the clutch out and engage it again then it usually works. I'm guessing the slave cylinder is going...any thoughts???

Glen,
At the back of my mind I seem to remember that I had similar problems with an early plus 2; turned out to be the flexible (plastic) pipe between the master and slave cylinders being affected by engine heat.
