Lotus alloy diff casing

PostPost by: stuartgb100 » Thu Aug 07, 2008 7:10 pm

I have a spare casing, but the diff ears are elongated.

Is there a successful repair for this problem, or even an improvement ?

Say perhaps, some kind of steel spacer/washer arrangement ?

Grasping at straws !

Regards,
Stuart.

I had one repaired with some steel bushes as the holes were elongated, it was fine then a while later a CV adapter let go and broke the ear off :( the ear was welded and its seems fine now although I use the Sprint bracing bracket on it.

Thanks Brian.

Time to find a recommended local machine shop.

Stuart.
