Hi All,
Searched but no luck on this. Does anyone know the thickness of a new clutch (across the friction surfaces)? What would the minimum be?

Thanks,

The minimum would be just before it's down to the rivets, then It'll start to score the flywheel and pressure plate,or when it starts to slip.

Recently asked this question for my 5 Speed box that has a different clutch plate to the 4 speed. Mine is 7.75mm, one kind person said his new clutch was 7.85mm.

I am not sure if there is much difference between the thickness of the 4 and 5 speed clutch plates. I wouldn't expect much but the clutch is one of the while your in there jobs unless it really is almost new (like mine)
