Makes sense. Thank you for the update. Quite irritating for me as it's engine out yet again (Spyder did my clutch and all new parts only a couple of thousand miles ago).

Yes - irritating to the tune of ?1000 of labour!
There are some duff bearings on the market I was told - perhaps you were unlucky? Worth asking for a goodwill gesture from Spyder?

It's fine, I have a few other jobs on the list which will be done at the same time for which I need the gearbox out anyhow. In for a penny...
Sadly I didn't have the best experience with Spyder the last couple of times, so I feel there isn't much goodwill going around.
