Anti Sizzle gear lever

I have a gear lever ball end assm with 3/8-24 threads. The gear lever bushing and sleeve nut I just purchased from sj is for 5/16-24. Any idea what this 3/8 version is from? Or where I can purchase a 5/16 version?

I recently acquired this project and don't know the origin of the part that came in the lot.

That 3/8 threaded part is from a +2.
