Brake light sticking on

Just moved house and I can`t find the workshop manual...........or pretty much anything. I`m sure the answer is simple. The brake light is sticking on, it`s a `73 Sprint, where do I look?

Look at the brake light switch (mechanical type) located above the pedal.

Horrible plastic thing off a mini and many others... the case usually separates from the threaded bit over the years. S1/2 cars had a hydraulic switch, much more reliable!

Yes it was the switch so I ordered a new identical one from Kelvedon for a bit over ?11. I noticed later a Mini one on ebay for ?2.85 inc. postage, it was slightly different but I thought I`d have one as a spare. They both came today and they are identical to each other. Fitted and working now, thanks,

Can you post what Mini the switch goes to so I can add it to my cross-reference.
