dash switch removal, washer and pneumatic, S2

Just disassembling the old dash to use as a pattern, and I am stumped removing the two switches, windscreen washer and pump, and the lamp pneumatic valve. The problem is the knobs. I can see they fit hex shafts with little buttons that fits into holes in the knobs. I'm rather reluctant to yank on them, or pry them, or heat them much, as I think I recall these bits are hard to find. Yet there must be a a good way to remove the knobs.

The little button is mounted on a sheet metal spring. Push the little button in and while it is being pushed in pull the knob off the shaft. I don?t think it needs excessive force.

Ah yes!

And in desperation I called Gary Anderson who recounted the same fact, along with that the issue had already been chased down here. I tried but could not find that. Anyway, I just tried your method and, zoom!, off they came!

With fixed lights I will not need the pneumatic valve, but will certainly use the washer pump/switch.

Incidentally, Paul, having finally gotten my chassis drilled and shell attached, I expect to find your video series excellent guidance as to what to do next. And how!
