Temp gauge not wirking

PostPost by: TonyA » Sat Nov 19, 2022 6:14 pm

Temp gauge on my plus 2 not working; I'm guessing that the connector to the temp sender may have come adrift during last fettling session. I can see a wire and cannister on the engine near the distributor, which I guess is the oil pressure sender (which works) but can someone tell me where is the temp sender..Thx .Tony

Other side of the engine. Beneath the thermostat housing you have two outlet connections, one will be the heater hose and the other your temperature sender.

Another tip. Is the fuel gauge working, at least to a degree? The fuel gauge and electric temperature gauge are both supplied from the same 10 v supply out of the voltage stabilizer, usually located by the tach or speedo. So if the fuel gauge is working you can continue to concentrate efforts on the sender.

All the best. Let us know how you make out.
