Exhaust Clamps

PostPost by: rjaxe » Fri Jan 11, 2008 7:50 pm

Recently fitted a set of Mikalor clamps to my Plus 2 exhaust. These are far superior to anything I have tried before. They solved the persistent leakage issue I had at the "Y" piece junction and being a much tidier installation improved ground clearance eliminating a lot of the annoying (damaging) grounding on speed bumps.(but not by the particularly viscious one in Portsmouth Ferry terminal)
I used the all Stainless Steel version so I am hopeful that if I do need to dismantle the system I will not have to resort to a hacksaw.

What size are the clamps and where can you purchase the Mikalor clamps from?

I obtained mine mail order from:
http://www.powerengineering.co.uk/mikalor/
The smaller clamps were 37-40mm and the larger one 43-47 mm.
