Lumitronic ignition

Folks I have just rebulit the engine in my lotus and it has non-standaard fast road cams so timing is different from normal. I have now timed it up but want to put the distributor back on. A previous owner has fitted lumitronic ignition but I've no idea how to time the car up with this fitted. Has anyone got any suggestions or links to helpful instructions?
cheers

You can use a spark plug /colourtune earthed to the engine in the air on the coil lead to see when the coil fires .Keep the lead away from you and the carbs (petrol + spark = Fire engine ).
I have a spark plug with a large croclip fixed to it with a hose clip

I seem to rember that the Luminition instructions said that you should line the edge (I can't remenber if it is the leading or trailing edge) of the 'chopper' blade up with the optical device with the engine set at the correct position. This will give you a coarse setting and enable you to run the engine and accurately adjust it with timing light.
Good luck
