Removing the Temp Sensor reducer in the head

I am temporarily installing a +2 TC engine in my elan while the original engine is being rebuilt. A number of things are just slightly different including the temp sensor adapter underneath the Thermostat housing ( the +2 has an electrical based sensor). I have tried numerous ways to remove the BRASS reducer to no avail.....including heat by acetylene torch........ The wrenching points are now rounded so I am thinking of drilling out the brass and re-threading the bung in the aluminum head. Are these reducers available from our friendly LOTUS jobbers?

The reducers are common at many auto parts shops.
Summit racing has these.

Thanks,
I will check....I had to drill out and then cut the reducer to remove it!
