I presume there's not much I can do to fit them on a s4 then?

there are a lot of things you can do to fit tires and rims, it depends how far you are ready to go (narrow springs, fender lip triming, arches extension installation...) and what are your requirements (amount of clearance here and there)... if you are getting very close to several limits chances are you'll need to check the actual setup on the car for each wheel as there can be some small differences side to side that could be several mm.
Also getting back on your various tires threads, if your actual goal is to fit a given tire (rather than installing a given rim), I'm sure you know that one can install a tire on a variety of rims and that produces different results as for clearances. For exemple I've succesfully installed Yokohamas A048 175x60x13 on my stock 1968 s4se on the stock 4.5" rims (but Plus2 5.5" rims with the same tires would not clear), though at the expense of tire walls verticality and optimal tire contact area...

Simon,

I'm a bit confused. Your thread says you are looking for 13 x 5.5 wheels for an S4. S4's only came with 13 x 4.5 wheels. So my first question is are you looking 13 x 5.5 or 13 x 4.5 ?

Next, the 13 x 5.5 came on the Elan +2's and I think, remember I said think, they were always Knock On wheels. I have never seen a 13 x 5.5 bolt on wheel until now in the previous pic.

Thirdly, you ask for them to be round. Ha! Ha! HA! That throws everything out the window. I must have 10 or 20 spare wheels but there is no such thing as a round Lotus Elan Wheel. That is why after market wheels were developed! Panasports and most others are round.
