Wanted. Door trim finisher

Hello all, I would like a door trim finisher in the UK. I can't remember what side but I can confirm in the morning.
I would appreciate a low price as I currently have cashflow issues as I'm trying to buy another Lotus
If you live around the North Wales ore Worcestershire area, I may also be able to collect it personally.
Any help would be very much appreciated.
Best regards, P

I can now confirm that it is the driver's side that is needed.

Anyone know which Lotus parts vendors sell these GRP door finishers? Are they different amongst the various Elan models? I have an early S1; needing both left and right. Obviously Peter has first priority! Thanks.

Kelvedon sell them but I can't afford to pay £50 for them at the moment.

Try to make one and you will learn why Kelveden wants 50 pounds. They are hard to find and not easy to make.

I hope to be making some in the future but they won't be inexpensive either. Good luck, you may find one!

Thank you Famous Frank, I expect they are very difficult to make and I am not knocking their quality, just wondering if anyone had one that I could have cheap, seeing how I bought one for considerably less from a friend of mine (sadly it was the wrong side).

I bought a pair of these from Kelvedon 2 years ago because I could not locate a pair of OEM for sale used.

They would be very difficult to make with the compound curves. The ones I have required a lot of custom fettling until they fit just right. One side fits perfectly, the other is still being worked on.

thanks Glen, fettling does not worry me at all, it's a Lotus  and we have the right stuff to do it.
I'll just have to buy a new one. I do have a spare passenger side original if anyone wanted it!
Best regards, P

I made two about 20 years ago as I also could not find them, I don’t think they were being reproduced at the time.
Although not that easy it is do-able, takes a bit of time though.
I borrowed two from a friend and made the initial shape using thin aluminium sheet, I then covered them with fibreglass matting and used body filler to get the final shape.
Not perfect but still using them, I did eventually try some genuine ones but found they did not fit as good as my “made ones” and couldn’t be bothered to fettle them so just kept mine.
