Lotus Elan

WTB: Twin cam valve cover

PostPost by: Rb26dett » Sun Dec 01, 2019 5:34 pm

Hello gentlemen,

A quick introduction. I’m usually on the Lotus Talk forum a lot more frequently than here because I’ve had the pleasure of owning an 07 Exige for the past 13 years. Although I’ve always flirted with the idea of buying and Elan Coupe one day; I’ve never really built up the courage to buy a vintage car.

Anyways the main purpose of my post is to find a twin cam valve cover with the LOTUS letters at the bottom of the cover and not on the sides of the twin covers. If you have one and want to sell please let me know. And I apologize if I’m posting in the wrong section. I can’t find the classified section here as opposed to the one on Lotus Talk.

I have one. I can send pictures when i get to my storage next weekend. Does that work?

I've attached a picture, can you let me know if this is the one you're looking for? Or if you are looking for the big valve one.

i suspect the valve cover is more for an art project or mancave addition? you indicate have an Exige, but not a vintage Lotus.

Correct. I have this hobby where I use Lotus parts and make it into furniture or other decor.

He reports having bought one already, but if anyone else was looking for a very nicely finished one in black, I have one for sale on my "hobby" website. http://taylormadeclassiccars.com/images/IMG_0373.JPG
FYI only.
