Rough Idle - HELP!!

The rotor arm was checked for run-out when the engine was built a year ago. I believe the issue is strictly with this defective cap. The rotor didn't contact the cap contact of #4 . The post was badly machined when installed in the cap. It was like this when I installed it. I should have replaced the cap then.

I had a similar problem and it turned out to be a blockage in the idle circuit that even an expert couldn't shift. Ended up fitting a rebuilt set of Dellortos that did the trick.
