Throttle cable securing bolt.

PostPost by: Simmo78 » Fri Mar 29, 2024 5:03 pm

Good afternoon,
Really quick question I’m hoping someone can answer… does anyone happen to know what the thread size is for the bolt / screw that clamps the throttle cable to the spindle on vehicles with strombergs? It’s the same bolt that’s used by the throttle return spring.
It’s listed in the parts catalog as number 46, but nobody seems to have any stock.

Regards Simmo.

I make it 2BA and just short of half an inch long.I measured it as .185 diameter and between 30 and 32 threads per inch.

Many thanks, I have a sneaky suspicion that I have a 2BA die knocking about in the toolbox, I’ll have to dust off the old lathe and make a new one.
