Hi, sorry to repost this but could anyone tell me what the free length is for a standard sptint rear spring. If not could any willing sprint owner count the number of coils on their springs (this will contain a fractional coil as well ie 9.5).

HAving trouble getting the facts and I dont want to sit too high when on the road.

Hi Mark,
The free length of the rear springs given in the Workshop Manual is 14.71" and the number of coils 8.7.
I looked at the springs as installed on my Sprint and there are about 10.0 total coils. So, the 8.7 figure probably represents active coils. Mine are the original springs.
