Rotten / Cracked suspension turret

I've just found that the suspension turret on my elan is wrotten and has a crack running all the way round it. The car was MOT'd in December last year so I'm surprised they didn't spot it!
Am assuming this means changing the chassis, views please?
Cheers

Just about anything can be repaired but would it be safe and cost viable? I don't think so, looks terminal to me.
Here is a bit of help with your pics.

I would buy a new chassis rather than try to fix what you have.
To fix properly assuming the rest of the chassis has been protected by the oil leaks you would need to chop the front off and replace it. The front towers and cross member will be too badly rusted and fatigued to try to repair. Spyder used to offer a service doing this but dont know if they do it any longer.

Your picture might have been taken of my Elan before I decided that I needed to have some assurance that it would stay on the correct side of the road .
A new chassis is the only solution that I was able to come up with, although I have heard that the boys in Oz can supply new front crossmembers.

Check out Spyder in Peterborough, they used to do front end replacements. Personally I would put a new chassis on, if the front is that bad what about the rear?
