Lotus Elan and Lotus Elan Plus 2 Forums

I have come across a set of alloy 14LF calipers from a Brabham. These calipers never come up when discussing brake upgrades, so I was wondering if there were any issues using these in a streetable but modified Elan. I imagine the braking is no better, possibly worse because of extra flex, but unsprung weight would be reduced. Any comments?

Hi Tom
If they have a dust shield over the caliper piston, I don't see any reason you could not use them on the street.
