That's a sad tale about Snap-On, very short-sighted of them to let quality slip.

I have one of these, bought for me by my Father, and it's one of my most treasured possessions!:

I have a whole bunch of 3/8" drive Snap-On stuff that I bought back in the 80's (when I had more money than sense - the opposite of now :lol: ). None of it's ever gone wrong but if it did presumably my lifetime guarantee has now gone the way of all flesh. Good job I didn't continue to buy it.
