Thanks very much,
I've got a lot of studying to do now, however I hope you will excuse me if I still keep to my old fashioned long winded English in my postings.

Whats wrong with good old English? I'm only just getting to grips with some of the "txt spk" that my friends use on thier mobiles, my sister tells me that kids are even using this in thier course work at school!!

could be that I'm just becoming an old fart though!!

Yup!
Join the club!
Trouble is that half the time you don't know what you're being accused of.
Then again do we old farts give a toss anyway?

I cant take anyone seriously that gets the fitting of a base ball cap wrong, or wears a wollen anorak and thinks its cool!! (my partners son was most distressed when I referred to his 'hoodie' in that way. . . "well mate, its woolly, has a hood and zips up at the front, its an anorak!!!! )

Normal English equivalent

To type like this is good because to some it's normal but for you and me it does look odd, yes?
