It always seems very cold at Donnington or is it that I am a southern softy?

Yes,it was cold, did you not see the soprano monkeys....but I suppose as the years roll by the "older" parts will be harder to get....the car park was full of those new-fangled LOTI....

But good nevertheless..

Was really amazed with how few +2's there where in the lotus only car park. I went both days in my +2 and counted only 7 +2's on saturday and just 6 on sunday. rather crap really :(

Come on +2 owners LETS GET A BETTER TURN OUT FOR STONELEIGH.

I travelled over from Ireland for the show and was a bit disappointed really, both with the lack of older Elans and also the lack of parts for sale.

I had intended to go both days but didn't bother to go back on Sunday in the end.

Is Stoneleigh usually better?

Cheers

Is it time for a "Club Elan"? (As oppossed to a Club M100!)

I know Club Lotus is/was setting up a S1/S2 Register, but it strikes me that for those of us who love the Elan and Plus 2 we could organise our own meets etc. Any thoughts?

Tim

PS Should this be a new topic?

I think club Elan is a really good idear

I just wonder how many would turn up, maybe if there was a meeting in the summer more would turn up also I think it would have to be held in the midlands

I like the idea of an Elan meet in the summer. It does not have to be at a circuit etc as the cost of hiring a place like that is too expensive. We could meet anywhere that has general admission and a large(ish) car park.

IMHO it would be a good idea to meet somewhere where there is something else to do. This would help keep wives children etc. occupied while we talk about wingnuts and tappets

How about http://www.shuttleworth.org/ it is fairly central.
