Thomas Motors, UK Lotus dealer in the sixties

Hello
I'm trying to trace the history of my S2 Elan, which is pretty difficult without its original registration. Lotus archives told me that the car was "on loan to Thomas Motors" before it was sold in April 1966. Do any of you guys know where Thomas Motors was located?
Thanks
Greg

There is a Thomas Motors in Blackpool referenced in the 60s in the context of Lotus, and the current address is:
Thomas Motors Garage
434 Waterloo Rd
Blackpool
01253 691632
But they may now be a Budget Rent-a-Car agent.
Got to be worth a call though!!

Thomas Motors in Blackpool was a very "sports oriented" Ford RS dealership in the 70's and 80's sponsoring a variety of Escorts in the forests and on the track.
Cheers,
Pete.

Thanks, guys - I'll get digging! Hopefully the car will either be registered in Cheshunt or Blackpool, so I'll try their county registration records.

Thomas Motors was the Main Ford agent in Blackpool from way back when. The building now sells beds!!!
They sold Lotus Cortinas and were the supplier to Blackpool police of the ultimate Q car of the 60's. A Lotus Cortina in plain clothes guise. It is rumoured that when the garage business packed up, six crated twinks went walkabout. Does anyone know of this story and it's possible authenticity.
