[quote="+2mad"]No it's no rumour - arrogant, dismissive and rude all come easily to mind. pity the attitude is so poor.quote]
Not that I have had any dealings with Spyder but I cant help picking up negative vibes here, I think you should give reasons for your comments.
As stated I have no opinions one way or the other (actually I've only heard good things about Spyder) but if you want to trash their reputation please give reasons for your comments as if it was not for the "non franchised Lotus Specialist" a lot of cars would have gone to "boot hill" a time long ago.
As for " rumours" ........will "andrewstyle" step up and tell us " naive" people what rumours he was on about and stop playing mind games with us.

arrogant, dismissive and rude is exactly the opposite of how I have found spider.... they have been unfailingly excellent at keeping my +2 going, and I try not to take it anywhere else...

I suppose dealing with Lotus nuts like ourselves they also attract a lot of "idiots" with idiotic questions etc....so I for one would forgive the occasional attitude problem....

Spencer is confounded with it all & it appears that the "new travelers" have now gone to ground.
Maybe they have decided that PM's are a more diplomatic solution.
Niether Spencer or me are loosing any sleep over it

Hello andrewstyle and +2mad,
Welcome, newcomers, to a forum of gentlemen who answer questions. Can you answer ours?
Eric
ps; andrewstyle, here in Yankee land we have a word "rumor", is that what you were asking about? "Roumers"? Couldn't find it in a dictionary.

Hi all
I have dealt with Spyder a fair amount recently and have nothing but praise for their work. They fill a usefull hole in the market and there seems to be a strong demand for their work.
I have no insight into their trading position but every time I've been to their workshops, they seem to be brimming with projects.
I agree with the earlier posts that if people want to trash reputations and start rumours, they should be supported with evidence.
happy motoring
Gavin

I've only had two dealings with Spyder and both times found them professional with advice - and parts ordered arrived next day.
They also seemed very approachable and informative when spoken to at the last two Donnington shows ? I don?t know exactly to whom I was speaking, but I have no reason not to recommend them to people in the Lotus Elan world.
I agree with Brian ? where would so many Elans be without Spyder?

I suppose it was only a matter of time before web Trolls discovered our pristine forum. I suspect that these "two" first-posters are actually one sad individual.
Do not feed the Troll.
