Seems there are many barriers for us all. My +2 has just this morning failed its MOT on headlight springs and front number plate, which means I can't get my ?0-waste-of-everybody's-time tax disc.
Anyway my bags are packed so it's 2 fingers to the regulators. I am setting off now in said +2...see you there or en route or something. If we make it!

I am now an ex-Elan owner but will drop by from time to time with some suitably inappropriate comments.

I'm stranded in Toronto (at least I will be once my flight from Boston gets there). So I'll miss the show! Bother!
Any suggestions for sight seeing near Toronto?
I'll hopefully see you all next year - who knows maybe I'm not 'meant' to go without my elan anymore.
Have a nice day!
Sean.

Walk the glass floor in the Toronto tower (part of the promenade gallery). Stand on clear glass with 1000 feet or so of fresh air or clouds below you. Weird experience.
Actually the glass part of the floor is probably stronger than the concrete bit.

I should have been on the Ferry to Calais today midday but due to a medical (not serious) problem I'm stuck here in deepest Germany.
Last Year the French Fishermen put "the mockers" on it for some of us
Maybe when it's back at Donington (hopefully) next Year things will work out.
Have a good Weekend to all of you who get there.
Hope to see a load of Photos soon.
Cheers
John

Well, there you go - there's no accounting for taste around here. Those vents were the most impressive thing I saw at the show. The owner made them himself from 2mm thick aly, and they fitted the bonnet profiles perfectly. Now where the water goes when its raining - is another matter.
The second most impressive thing was the front air dam that can only be seen when you look from underneath the car. When asked why the air dam - "the front end lifts badly at 135mph", was the reply.
The other nice thing was that the BDG fitted nicely without having to modify the bonnet.

2mm Alloy Sheet!! are they structural then
I think that it would look better if they were painted & perhaps blended in at the edges.
Do you have a picture of that front Air Dam? I might fit one to my car, it having the same problem but kicking in with light steering at just over 130MPH
Cheers

Thanks for the Photos Stuart.
I thought that Matty was stopping going to the Show, due to Damage being done to his Show cars a little while ago.
