Hah! Maybe we could all drive down to Hornsey afterwards and drive through Jewson's Builders yard.

Many thanks to the guys who have done all the hard work re the Cheshunt event. I feel very priviledged to have been invited, and I shall be travelling from Johannesburg for the big day.

See some of you there ?

I am also not very good with the PC - but if I can help in any other way please let me know. Are you a Lotus owner, or just have a general interest ? I think this topic is a very interesting one if you go right back to the first page. But then you have probably done that. If you live anywhere near Cheshunt you will know the old Lotus buildings but I wonder if you have seen the plaque which was erected last year on 31 May - I had the honour of being there on the day. It was simply wonderful. Cheers, M

Oh wow, I've just discovered this thread and have eagerly read it all!

So what was the resolution of the Remarque publication question?

And Maureen, if your book is still a possibility, put me down for a copy as well.

Hi Veg (?) - that Remarque article was not written by me, although it has my name on it. I was very unhappy about it at the time - but then everything it contained had been put on this site somewhere, so I guess it was in the public domain. Still don't understand why it was put together like that - I don't like my name on something I did not write.

I have never re-started the book - I was in Cheshunt last year for the unveiling of the Jim Clark plaque on the old Team Lotus building (now Monster Gym) and I met a lot of great people there - even a few who worked at Cheshunt in the 1960s when I was there. It was a very long time ago - my memory is not so good these days, so I don't think that book will ever come to fruition.

It's a super thread though isn't it - a real bit of Lotus history. Cheers, M

I am trying to contact a guy who told me about an Elan and a Seven lying in a garden in Germiston, South Africa. I think it may have been someone by the name of Brian ? If anyone has any idea, please let me know. Thanks. Maureen
