One of my Dads friends had one.
Took me for a ride, interesting to see 110mph on the speedo, and know it had 65mph left.....
The same car actually got a NZ speed record in some class or another.
Over 170mph, the driver vowing "never again"!

If it had had the blue printed motor, the D type head, and the over sized tyres, it would have been an actual 151 mph !

Sold my E type for a couple of reasons. One being that I couldn't keep it below any legal speed limits. Every time I looked at the speedometer I was 15 to 20 over. The other was that it got too valuable to enjoy driving. :( Had a home for the cash as well.

Sorry, I realise my response was a little off... Hearing a Daytona described as "Antique" gave me so much whiplash I couldn't think straight.
A friend had a Daytona for a while but he found it too aggressive to use-it was great as long as you wanted to go somewhere at a minimum 100 mph-at regular highway speeds it was just uncomfortable he said.

Until very recently I owned an Aston DB2-the main competitor to the Ferrari 212-it was a wonderful car and under rated.
