Lotus and cats

Seems like I?ve noticed a few comments and online pictures and such in various places over the years that at least anecdotally indicate that Lotus owners have a rather high rate of keeping cats as pets. ?What is it with Lotus-people and cats?? was a response to a picture somewhere not long ago.

So in the interest of checking the anecdotal against the actual, who amongst us has kitties in your life?

My wife and I have three.

Anybody else?

Have had at least one Lotus and one cat since 1979. Not sure what that means.

While in storage at a friend's house for a few years, their cat had kittens in my car twice. Does that count? It does make it a two litter car.

To be honest, I've had at least one cat of my own at all times during the forty one years I've had my +2.

I'm much more a cat than a dog person. We've had cats - on and off - for the last 40yrs and my ex wife even started breeding Burmese cats at one point (no kids at that stage  ). This is our current one -

I have a Cat ... & even though Dogs are great too ... Cats are more agile , elegant , lighter , fragile , lithe , beautiful on the eye & with a mind of their own ... sounds like a Lotus to me !

We had a tabby cat called Millwall (he was always fighting) that regularly came with us in our Elan S4 and often with the roof down, when drove on the A3 from London to Hampshire to visit parents in the 70s & 80s. He crouched on the central consul facing forwards, with his ears streamlined!

My cats always enjoyed the hammock appeal of the hood on a warm summer afternoon...

I'm a dog person; English Springer Spaniels. I've never really taken to cats. Unfortunately, they always make a bee-line for me.

When my children were young they begged their mother for a cat. When she consulted me I said you can have one but you feed it, you take it to the vet and bay the bills, you look after it.

We had three at one stage. And guess who ended up feeding them, taking them to the vets ?..

Our aged cat had to be put down about 3 years ago. Have yet to replace him. Then the dog 3 months ago. We have not made a decision on a replacement for either. Would like to have another vermin terminator, but between the bobcat and coyote population, most do not last very long if they are trying to do their job.
