Hi, i have just retired and I thought it was time to restore my Elan S4 SE. It hasn't been used since 1978, all the rubber parts have perished and my goat used to use the car as a viewing post sitting on the roof hence most of the body panels are decidedly worse for wear. I hope I may call on your expertise in the future . I am resident in France

Welcome! I just have to ask-do you have any photos of your goat on top of the Elan?! We would love to see them. Eric

Looks like it was last in the UK in 1979. How long has it been in that field?

Salut Terence

Welcome. I live in France, too - though there aren't too many goats (horrible to think what they'd do to my ragtop). Where are you ?

Best wishes

Hi Vernon,

I am situated in north dordogne, I don't know of any clubs in France or parts distributers so I will be looking in England . Do you know where I can purchase a parts list from?

Salut Terence

OK, not too near - I went there on holiday last year.

I have a (free) source for the +2 parts list, otherwise Sue Miller lists them and you have free access through rdent.com.

There is a Club Lotus France (I'm not a member) and there are numerous classic car clubs with Lotus owners. Do some Googling for your area.
