Hi everyone! I just got a 67 Elan that has been sitting in a carport since 1988 and, as you can imagine, it has a "few" needs. I'm excited to start the process and glad to have found this site. Now, off to the wanted section for 2 steel knockoff wheels! Mike

Hi Mike! It is good to hear of a new Elan owner in the Atlanta area - in what part of Atlanta are you located? Those pin drive wheels can be difficult to find for sale, but I should have a couple I could spare. Send me a private message if you are interested.
Dan

Welcome indeed!
I'm just down the road in Augusta GA, about 90% complete on the restoration of my '72 Elan Srint. Happy to pass along advice arising from my experiences. Also have a few bits and pieces surplus and some special tools I made up along the way that are there for you if you need them.
Greg Z is also in Atlanta and has a lot of Elan experience, super-helpful guy.

Welcome!
Make sure you contact Famous Frank here on the forum. He lives in metro Atlanta area and is a guru on Elans.
British Car Fayre is coming up in September and there will be a few Elans there (including ours).
Post pictures of your car. We like that!

MrPink, how about posting a few pics of said Elan. Was it a local car?

Thanks for all the welcomes! Here's a few pics of the car. The woman in the picture bought it when it was 1 year old and drove it regularly until she parked it in her carport in 1987 and it didn't move again until I got it. The engine turns and the plugs came out easily. The car was in Roswell,Ga and I just happened to hear about it from a friend since he knows my dad races a Europa in vintage racing. I own a bodyshop so the paint won't be an issue but hopefully I can find some time to get it running soon.

Very cool!
Welcome MrPink!
Looks like you've got a fun project.
I'm in the Atlanta metro too, between Lawrenceville and Suwanee, and back in December I got a '70 Plus 2 from a good friend of mine who had it squirreled-away in her garage. I had an Esprit before that.
So you have a body shop...can you make me a good deal on a paint-job for the Plus 2?

Found this old post. I guess I'm the new guy in Atlanta. I have collected several projects (3) and look forward to fun summer building them up.

I'm on the south side near Peachtree City. The first one is going back together nicely.
I'm looking for some S1/S2 doors if anyone has some.
