Hello from Portugal!!!
My name it?s Nuno, I?m from Portugal, I do not have any Lotus Elan but I would love to have it, but my deceased uncle had two or three many years ago, unfortunately were all stolen or sold, only left two colin chapman steering wheels in the garage wall.
Best regards from Portugal

Yes, you`re looking at over ?1000 there. I have seen Elans for sale from Portugal at similar prices to other European or UK cars. Left hand drive cars from the U.S. are substantially cheaper, much cheaper even allowing for shipping costs. Probably you`d need to buy without viewing but I still think it would be worthwhile.
Here`s a pic. of our Elan in Portugal, looking a bit dusty.

Oh...1000?, it?s right now, where is it the buyer??? Where? Lol. I think I need to wait many years to start thinking buying a Lotus. That pic. was taken waiting to start the hillclimb at Caramulo. We`ve since driven down to the Algarve, here`s a pic. of the Elan with number 2 fan, and a few years before we drove down to Villa Real. Empty roads, lovely weather.

Ol? Nuno !
We enjoyed our trip to Portugal Lisbon and Estoril circuit with the MSA Euroclassic ten years ago in 2007.
That's when I first heard a magical voice singing in a restaurant in Lisbon. I was so knocked out I asked the waiter who was singing, he said "It's Mariza, don't you know ? " !
I got to know all her songs and I was so delighted to hear her in concert in Dublin a few years ago, and to meet her personally afterwards !
Unforgettable !
