New Member - Looking to buy +2

Hi
New to the forum. Just started my search for a +2. Just missed out on John's white one - thanks for the pics John, but as I was looking at the pictures your message came in that you'd sold it.
Should have got my act together quicker.
I am no mechanic, so I am looking for a sorted +2.
I will garage and use it frequently, but not in the rain!
I have seen Andy's Bahama yellow +2 advertised at the dealer, but I am in London and he is in Cheshire. Was hoping for some info if it is worth the trip as it is advertised for a lot of money.
I would like the car to be as original as possible, but I am no purist and understand that it will have a new chassis etc...
Any advice would be more than welcome, especially if someone is thinking of selling a solid +2
Thanks for reading this far.

I was in more or less the same boat as you. The best advice I was given was "don't buy the first one you see". Which I duly ignored, but fortunately it came out OK considering the price I paid.
Good luck, lots of advice here.
