Plus 2 owner in Kansas City area. Owned the car for 25 years, recently got it back on the road after 23 years of sitting.

Had a chance to get it out on the track a few times this past weekend for some revival racing. Held my own, which I thought was pretty good considering all the rubber in the suspension, the shocks & springs.... are all 50 years old. Something to work on over the winter.

Very cool! Quick question. Does your right side mirror actually provide a view on track? I added one this summer to a similar location and it is pretty useless. Not sure if it is just the mirror design I used or the mounting location.

Nice car! Very cool parking lot too!

Not much use, I found a couple thin plastic washers to put inside the half round swivel wich pushed the glass out some and allowed it to adjust a little more. That helped, but still not the best.

Nice looking Plus 2! Welcome to the forum.

I?m interested in understanding why you would let the car sit for 23 years? I hear these stories all the time (I have a S2 Elan that sat for almost 20 years before I bought it).

Thanks - as for the 23 year getting it back on the road again?? I underestimated the resources required (multiply the original estimate by 3 or 4 times for both time and cash). And, life happens. 20 some years later I finally have a shop to work, where I don't have to worry about getting things put away so the daily drivers can get back in the garage- keeps my wife happy and on board. Speaking of resources, this forum is great resource that wasn't available to me when I first got the car. To be able to reach out to so many people who have been there done that, is huge.
