Looks like a cracking meeting Rohan, just look at all that lovely machinery down under.
Do you know if that March No9 is the ex-Brambilla F1 car, it's just that I worked at March for a short while in early 70's when he won his one and only F1 race (I think) in the Beta Tools sponsored car coloured orange the same as this one.

It would be nice to know that old race cars have a new life where ever they are.

Doug.

By the way your race Elan looks just the business out there on the track.

Great pics rohan, love the Panteras.

Wasn't Brambilla the only driver to ever win an F1 race backwards?

Doug

Sorry but I dont know much about the car, it was a late entry and not listed in the program. It is NZ based I believe and I would have thought been a formula 5000 car since the early 70's. Do you know if March converted any of their old F1 cars to F5000.

They had a great F5000 race with over 20 cars starting and finishing which given F5000's legendary reliability is no mean feat! 20 big rumbling V8 open wheelers at full throttle down the front straight at Sandown sounds a lot better than even a F1 field does today.
