Are there any specialist Lotus car insurance companies, or shall I use a normal classic car company?
Also, is there a section where I can research the history of a car?

Hi,
if you take a look at 'Business and Vendor' listings you will find contact details for Routen Chaplin insurance brokers. Kim Eaton the main contact there is an Elan owner himself.
As to history - first stop DVLA - download form V888 and send it off with your ?5.00
