A slightly more serious reply:
Welcome to the site.
A registration number would help so we can check if it is currently on the road or not.
Interesting that you say this is a BRM - the usual colour scheme was polychromatic green with dayglo orange bumpers - what do you know of the history etc - had it been repainted?

I had the same tent, couldnt run to the wheels though.
Whilst since then cars have become heavier, flabbier and less performant the same cant be said for tents, that bloomin thing weighed a ton and the flysheet alone weighed much more and had a far bigger bag than a much larger modern tent.
A shame that sports car manufacturers couldnt evolve in the same way.

Paul - the car comes back as no trace on DVLA records.
If a car is on the DVLA system it usually comes up with a 'date of liabilty' meaning when next car tax is due. Sometimes this can be a few years back meaning the car exists but is off the road.
When it doesn't show on the system it means that the car was never transferred from the old records on to the then 'new' computer system (in the 80's??) This can mean a few things:
- the car was exported before the new system came into being.
- the car was written off before the new system came into being.
- the car has been in hiding somewhere for a long time in bits or awaiting a restoration.
- the car was broken for parts years ago.
Might be worth giving Club Lotus a ring to see if they know anything of it.
