PostPost by: el-saturn » Fri Sep 26, 2014 8:31 pm

some of us on this forum were trained to look for lighter solutions for an overweight (but highly stressed) component: it could have been holes, gauge, titanium, cfk whatever --------------------- the least headache causing version is using brand rims 4,5" they weigh 800gramms less per corner!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i?ll show you flks my restored ones in a couple of weeks : 3200 gramms for a simple switch - how much are a) minilites ally and b) minlite mag????? does anyone know? cheers sandy

My minilite alum alloy weighed pretty much the same as the steel Elan rims, I think at 15 lbs, I will have to check my notes.
There are better cost vs wt savings, but I wanted round rims :)
