There are three different versions: S3, S3 'SS', and S4. Have to decide where the market is.

Hi Geg

I presume these differences are around how the door look and door release mounts and that it would be possible to make a frame to suit all variations ?

Hi,
All chrome parts are brass, window motor mounting and top cross bar are steel.
Construction, Hank bushes, pulley posts and all other joints are SILVER SOLDERED .
Care is needed as the melting point of brass and silver solder are not that far apart!
Just replaced a window motor mounting bar in mine.
FWIW
Ron.
PS. Interior pull handle mounting changes on S3 frames.

I have done a fair bit of silver solder / brazing work with copper and brass. You need to use the high silver content and thus expensive alloy rods with Brass but even for someone with my limited skills like me it is relatively easy to do.

Rohan, correct. I think, too, the Super Safety has a different mounting for the door release. There are
three different part numbers in the parts catalogue.

....................if you'd start with some 1mil brass sheet and a proper jig and all of the equipment to prepare the "profiles" and all the rest is "at hand" you're lookin' at 1 day for the frame which may include 1/3d for polishing before you go for the copper and thereafter the chrome. then it's more polishing. if you^d want a complete door for a S3 - it's easily 2000 pound sterling! here it'd be 4 grand!! sandy
