Quite a few folk here will have parts tucked away that might be useful to others. I thought it might be an idea to post up a little of what you might take with you that's for sale. Similarly if you could list up parts you need then it hopefully it could help everyone.

I should be there unless its forecast to be an awful day hopefully parked opposite the +2 display. I intend bringing:

Hardback Robinshaw and Ross, dash rocker switches, 14" Europa steering wheel, (I have got some knock on rims but would only bring them if they are pre sold), Sparto lenses and possibly a complete set, possibly lots of other smaller items.

So chaps post up your sales and wants for Combe here

"Well-short of the 50 and only 9 days to go, so, not wanting to drift the thread , but how about an informal auto-jumble , list on here your wants and "spare" spares ( for C.C. only ) and lets see what we can do....I've got some.
No postage charges....Cash only...Haggling by PM.

But that's a Plus 2 thread, many Elan owners won't even look. I reckon a specific thread might be better...or not!

Is that the Sparto one chrome glass and plastic backplate that looks like an interior light used in the coupe? Can you find a photo to post up?

interior-light.jpg and

2 of these, please.
I believe it to be a Sparto 5832. I think the coupe's rear pillar interior lights may have had a switch.

Weather permitting I intend to be at CC. I have a few spares that I could bring, some of dubious quality, but possibly refurbishable if anyone's desperate :D . Here's a pic of some:

img_0250.jpg and

Includes:
Pair of standard rear drive shafts
Pair of v early drive shafts with u/j at one end only
Headlight pod return spring(new), rhs I think, but I think a bit stronger than normal
Fuel filler cap, some pitting
Electric fan, with poor blades
Interior mirrors (2), glass poor, but stalks refurbishable
Brake MC, poor cap and piston is stuck
Pair of front brake flexies with protective wire sheath, not too old, but can't guarantee
Pair front seat runners, unknown fitment, not S2, but possibly S3 onwards
One front brake caliper, surface rust, but has had new pistons and seals fitted. Unknown condition now though.
4 off rear hood to body clips for S1/2
1 steering column joint, needs refurbishment.
Various other small bits
No guarantee of any kind for any of above

Happy to let these go for FREE, although any small contribution to my beer fund gratefully received

Nice pair of semi-solid drive-shafts there,I don't want/need them but are they for the Baby elan or the Grown-up model?

Thanks

Not sure John as I can't remember how I came to get them, certainly I never actually used them, but I think they're probably Elan.
BTW the clutch plate shown is/was new, incorrectly supplied by PM as it's 8 1/4 " dia. rather than 8" so not sure what it fits :?

I've just measured the drive shafts and the standard ones are 8 5/8" long overall, whereas the u/j ones are 9 3/4" approx. I assume then that the u/j ones are for the plus 2 unless anyone knows differently. :?
