Here are a few photos of my Elan plus some others taken at last Sunday's Goodwood Breakfadt meeting for classic car owners.

Are the owners known (maybe on this forum) for the other Elans?

I was lucky enough to get an invite (never having applied before and hearing of many people who have applied loads of times but not been invited), but sadly a change in holiday plans meant that I was still stuck in Champagne! I asked the Goodwood folk to give my invite to somebody else. Would have been lovely to be at Goodwood maybe enjoying a little drop of the French bubbly though.

Hope you had a great time.

I tried to join the Breakfast Club a while back but the password they sent me never worked. When I tried to ask them why my emails were ignored.

Looking at those pictures I really wish I'd been able to go.

I don't think it is a 'club' as such. It's pretty tricky (and a bit of a lottery) to be asked to exhibit your car in the circuit, but I think anyone can go along to have a look around. Since this year you have to obtain a ticket at a nominal fee to get into the car parks as they have had to put a limit on the number of people flying around the lanes of West Sussex.

The breakfast club meetings are on the first sunday of the month and each one has a different theme. It is free to exhibit or attend but you have to register on the web site and print off the email to show at entry. It is a great event and lots of cars on show.

As far as I can tell from the plates none are forum owners except William's S4. The yellow Elan looks like Paddy's who's often been there, as have I, but isn't.

Nice looking car, William, very regal and I'm surprised I haven't seen it around (I'm Barnham based).
