Model of my exact car for Christmas

I was given a model of a "Hot Wheels" Esprit for Christmas . The interesting thing is that it is by chance an actual model of my car - how do i know that?
Well its an S1 Esprit in black and gold JPS colours !
As everyone knows the JPS commemorative cars were the first of the Esprit S2 cars produced. To my knowledge there was only one S1 made in JPS colours which is my Esprit. My Esprit was one of the last S1's made and I have always suspected Lotus tried out the JPS colour scheme on it to see what it looked like.
A picture of my Esprit with my Plus 2 - had to put that in as it is a Elan forum
Have a good Christmas and drive a Lotus or at least tinker in the garage if its to cold and wet
cheers
Rohan

Merry Christmas Rohan. Enjoy the balmy weather where you are, it?s raining and cold here in Princeton. But as you said, still able to work in the garage to Tinker. Nice S1 you have. I?m a big fan of the JPS scheme.

Merry Christmas Rohan. That colour scheme is slightly unusual given the curve on the pinstriping by the c pillar / buttress.
It can?t decide whether it should be a crisp wedge or a sensual curvy shape !
Best wishes
Richard

Rohan,
Judging by that model you've clearly got the wrong wheels on your car! All the best,
Pete.

Hi Pete
For $7 you cant expect totally precise details of my car
The models wheels are closer to the normal S1 Esprit Wolfrace wheels in looks not the Speedline wheels used on my car and all the S2's that followed. But at least they are gold
I picked up a set of the S1 Wolfrace wheels a few years ago for next to nothing when they were thrown in for free with a 907 engine out of a wrecked Esprit I was buying. Maybe I will paint them gold and fit them to match the model
cheers
Rohan
