Just bought a new lotus... Reminded me everything I love abo

I've been driving a 2016 Golf R 6MT. I love that car, the performance, the practicality (though my 2010 WRX Wagon was more practical) but the interior and amenities won me over...

Then I bought an Elise.. wow... it's not as fast as the Golf R, but it just FEELS faster, and it just begs to be driven... uncivilized...

I think a Golf R is definitely quicker than a standard Elise. 0- 62mph is I believe 4.6 seconds. Electronically limited to 155mph AND is 4 wheel drive with around 300Bhp too.

Just my 2p!

A supercharged Elise, on paper, is quicker to 60, but in the real world I doubt if it can compete with 300 brake and 4WD

I used to have a supercharged 2zz Exige which was tuned and putting out 220 hp at the wheels, a friend had an MT 2010 Golf R with Stage 2 tune. There was nothing between them in a straight line.

On a track however (Winton) there was almost 6 seconds per lap difference in the Exiges favour.

Both great cars but no contest for involvement, you've made the right choice!
