Thoughts from newbie after 100 miles Cotswold drive today

I love this car ! Did you expect anything else
Had first drive in car this afternoon, so thought I better stay local just in case anything went wrong
Within 30 secs I was grinning like a Cheshire Cat. What an amazing view out of the front of the +2. So much visibility. 40 miles later I was back home very happy with the car. So much more enjoyable at sensible speeds vs cars I?ve had recently Think I?ll have to replace seats for short term, as felt like I was sliding off the standard seats on faster corners
So got to 1800 and said to the missus I was popping out to take some snaps of the car. My daughter suddenly insisted she come along. An intended 30 min ride turned into a 60 mile drive around numerous Cotswold villages near me. We popped to Caffeine and Machine pub where Mike Brewer was sat with his production team having a few beers. The Elan got some decent attention and words such as ?immaculate? and ?cool? were good to hear
Some more decent country roads and just a joy to use the slick gearbox, the sublimely steering and fruity induction and exhaust noise. Carbs take a bit of getting used to after years of injection cars.
So finally grabbed a few photos as sun set
You?ll have to excuse me but I?m a sucker for mono photos
And then finally back home.
